WBBSE Class 10th Madhyamik result 2019 declared, 86.07% students pass West Bengal board SSC exam, check details here

West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE), on Tuesday, declared results of Madhyamik 2019 or Class 10 state board examination, with pass percentage reaching a record high of 86.07%

Announcing the results in Kolkata on Tuesday, WBBSE president, Kalyanmoy Ganguly, said that this year the results were declared within 88 days from the last date of examinations. “This year pass percentage was recorded at 86.07%, which is a record in the history of the board. Last year pass percentage was 85.49%” he said.

In case of girls, Ganguly added, pass percentage is 82.87%, while in case of boys the figure is 89.97%. Altogether 51 candidates appeared in the list of first ten in the merit list.

Saugata Das, from Mahammedpur Deshpran Vidyapith School in East Midnapore district of West Bengal ranked first scoring 694 (99.14%) of 700. “This is again a record in the history of the board,” Ganguly said.

District- wise, pass percentage was the highest in East Midnapore district at 96.10%, followed by Kolkata at 92.13% and West Midnapore at 91.78%

According to Ganguly, the pass percentage of the other physically challenged students this year was also quite impressive. “A total of 185 visually challenged candidates appeared out of which 175 (94.59%) –passed. A total of 152 hearing –impaired candidates appeared, out of which 132 (86.64%) passed. In case of other physically challenged candidates,352 (87.78%) of 401 passed,” Ganguly said.

He said that this year not a single result was incomplete or withheld. In 2019, Bengal’s Class 10 board examination started from February 12 and continued till February 22

Candidates will be able to check their results at the official website of West Bengal Board at wbbse.org or wbresults.nic.in. Candidates who want to check their scores offline can get it on SMS

As soon as the result is declared, the candidates will get their scores on their message inbox.

Ganguly said that that successful candidates will be able to collect their results from their respective schools on Tuesday only.
