Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party president Omprakash Rajbhar is contesting from the Zahoorabad constituency in alliance with the Samajwadi Party. An OBC, Rajbhar enjoys considerable support in his community that plays a decisive role in a number of eastern UP assembly constituencies. He has pledged to defeat the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in UP over issues of inflation and rising unemployment. Rajbhar’s party had contested the 2017 assembly elections alongside the BJP, and was made the cabinet minister after the formation of the government. Soon after, he began cornering the BJP government over “not doing justice to backward communities”, eventually getting sacked after the 2019 Lok Sabha results over “anti-alliance activities”
