Payal Rohatgi who recently accused filmmaker Dibakar Banerjee of asking for sexual favours is upset about Anurag Kashyap coming to his defence saying "he has been practicing casting couch in real life".
She told glamsham.com, "Who better than Anurag to know that? He had been 'doing it' with Kalki Koechlin for a while and then he launched her in his films. After that she became as good as Madhuri Dixit for Anurag! If that is not casting couch then what is it? Anurag Kashyap has practiced it in real life!"
After the accusations made by Payal Rohatgi, filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, who has himself launched newcomers like Mahie Gill and Kalki Koechlin, defended him by saying, "I stand by Dibakar. Among this generation of directors, not a single director will cast anyone just because he gets to have sex with that person. None of them would ever compromise with the integrity of their films," Kashyap told IANS.
"We audition for around three to four months for a character. Anyone who wants to bypass the audition gets automatically rejected,"
