Aishwarya Rai meets Hillary Clinton

The Goodwill Ambassador for UNAIDS visited the headquarters, also met Hollywood hotshots Naomi Watts and Michael Douglas.

Now that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been appointed the new international Goodwill Ambassador for UNAIDS she’ll be a regular visitor to the UN headquarters in New York City. During her recent trip, Ash met a number of high-profile personalities including US Secretary Of State Hillary Clinton.

“While attending the Shared Responsibility and Global Solidarity event, that was attended by former-British PM Gordon Brown (Special Envoy of the Secretary General for Global Education), Ash met Clinton briefly,” says a source.

Ash also met Hollywood actors Michael Douglas, Forest Whitaker, Naomi Watts and former basketball player Shaquille O’Neal during her trip. International supermodel Christy Turlington also met Ash at a dinner hosted by the UN Secretary General at the Museum Of Modern Art.

“She met Deepak Chopra, and other heads of states as well. She had a very busy weekend, but Ash enjoyed it,” adds the insider. Despite repeated attempts, Ash remained unavailable for a comment.
