It is one of only 23 imperial clocks made of tis kind, from the Forbidden City in Beijing that will be on show at the National Clock Museum in Utrecht, starting on October 16.
The clock, which left China for the first time, was made as a tribute to the emperor by an artist from the Qing dynasty (1644-1911).
