“Shilpa invited me for her wedding, but my schedule didn’t allow me to participate,” said Carcelle, who was in Delhi to open an exhibition of the photographs from Albert Kahn’s Collection. Did he pack her a wedding gift then? A clutch maybe? “No, I thought I’ll present myself as the gift, but then…”
On India, Carcelle revealed how a pair of khadau (Indian temple shoes) which he discovered in Tibet now hold a place of pride at the LV Shoe Museum in Paris.
