Hollywood actress Natalie Portman believes beauty is boring and admits she can't understand why people are so obsessed with their appearance.

"Beauty can be a hindrance, especially if that's the only thing that matters to other people. I'm also aware that being considered attractive can be a huge factor in getting work in my profession," femalefirst.co.uk quoted her as saying.

"Beauty can be boring if you're with a guy who is focussed on his looks or your looks all the time," she said. "I know a lot of male actors who are totally obsessed with creating a certain look," she added.
