Actor Salman Khan is busy promoting his upcoming release Sikandar, in which he worked with director AR Murugadoss. The actor joined Murugadoss and good friend Aamir Khan for a chat, in which he talked about the film and how they had to shoot with heavy security. Salman said that even though it was a tough shoot in terms of planning so many outdoor locations, it all went well. On shooting for Sikandar

During the conversation, which was shared on Salman's YouTube channel, Aamir asked both of them if it was a challenging shoot. In respose, Murugadoss said, “Yes. We shot at railway stations, from night till day. We had to take care of security issues. In real locations, there were around 200 people on the buildings, watching.”

'We had to be very careful'

Salman added, “Security ka taam jham kaafi tha because real locations the. Outdoor tha (There was a lot of security involved because of real locations, and we were shooting outdoors). So we had to be very careful. But by the grace of God, all went well.”

During the time Sikandar was shot, Salman had also received multiple death threats. This prompted heightened security measures around him. Last year, on November 5, the Mumbai Police received a threatening message against Salman Khan allegedly from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The threat message gave the actor two options: apologise or pay 5 crore to stay alive.

The trailer of Sikandar was released earlier this week. The film is backed by Sajid Nadiadwala’s banner, Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. AR Murugadoss is known for directing Tamil and Hindi films such as Ghajini, Thuppakki, Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty and Sarkar. Sikandar also stars Kajal Aggarwal and Rashmika Mandanna.
