British comedian Russell Brand and American pop singer Katy Perry got married on Saturday amidst great celebrations at the Aman-i-Khas resort in Ranthambore, Rajasthan.

On Saturday morning, two elephants — Malaand Lakshmi — walked into the venue on a red carpet.

Black screens were put up outside the resort to ward off the paparazzi.

Trucks loaded with sofas were seen entering the venue. The Hindu wedding rites started at 7pm. The Vedic chants permeated through the thick black screens. Outside, one could hear laughter and clapping of hands at close intervals.
