Jeweller Jean Dousett estimates the emerald-cut diamond, which is set in platinum, to cost around $750,000, reports eonline.com.
People reported that Clooney helped design the ring, which features an "ethically mined" emerald-cut diamond flanked by two tapered baguettes set in platinum.

Alamuddin, a human rights lawyer, was seen wearing the ring at a party for Cindy Crawford's husband, Rande Gerber, in Santa Barbara on Sunday. The magazine featured the ring and the couple on its cover this week.
It is reported that the couple met last year while Alamuddin was working as an adviser to Kofi Annan.
She said no to Clooney twice before agreeing the third time. He and Alamuddin have been dating since October 2013.

Tipped as a future high court judge, Alamuddin has said she has no intention of becoming the movie star's “trophy” wife.
While a date for the wedding has not been set, People's Kate Coyne said on the Today show that a family member had let slip that wedding bells could be chiming as soon as September, but the lovebirds aren't in any rush to tie the knot.
