Himachal People’s Forum, a social organisation in Dharamsala has demanded the renaming of a local college after legendary Bollywood actor Dev Anand, who studied there in 1938-39.

Himachal People’s Forum, a social organisation in Dharamsala has demanded the renaming of a local college after legendary Bollywood actor Dev Anand, who studied there in 1938-39.

The organisation has written to the state’s CM Prem Kumar Dhumal and education minister ID Dhiman seeking the renaming of the Government PG College, Dharamsala after the iconic star. “The name of this college came into limelight with the elevation of this great actor,” forum’s secretary, Dharm Pal Garg said, adding that this will be their bit to honour their celebrated alumnus, who passed away in London last week.
