A new medical report has revealed that Joan Rivers died from 'therapeutic complications' during a procedure to evaluate her 'voice changes' and stomach reflux. The 81-year-old TV host died after suffering a cardiac arrest.
A new medical report has revealed that Joan Rivers died from 'therapeutic complications' during a procedure to evaluate her 'voice changes' and stomach reflux.
The report stated that the classification of a death as a therapeutic complication meant that the death resulted from a predictable complication of medical therapy, CNN reported.

Pathologist and surgeon Bill Lloyd asserted that the complication in this case was laryngospasm which is a spasm of the vocal cords that makes it difficult to breathe.
Lloyd continued that the late comedienne stopped breathing and her heart went into arrhythmia because there was not sufficient oxygen to maintain the heart muscle and the pump, the heart itself, was unable to move fresh oxygenated blood upstream to the brain.
