Not many men would consider losing part of his manhood to please their wife, but it seems like Guy Ritchie was willing to go that extra mile for his then-wife Madonna.



It has been claimed that the filmmaker got circumcised to please the pop queen when they were married.



Karen Berg, the singer's adviser on Kabbalah, told the New York magazine that the Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels director underwent the procedure to adhere to his then wife's Kabbalah beliefs.



Madonna "keeps a kosher home, she observes Shabbat, she circumcised her son and had her [ex-] husband circumcised," News.com.au quoted Berg as telling the mag.

Madonna was raised a Roman Catholic but is said to have heard about Kabbalah in Los Angeles when she was pregnant with her daughter Lourdes.



Kabbalah is a discipline of Judaism concerned with the mystical aspects of the religion.
