On Thursday evening, Gul retweeted an offensive comment made on the Babri Masjid issue by one of her followers. Farah, who assumed the comment was made by Gul, wrote, “Please don’t expect me to react to brainless actresses who don’t know the meaning of humanity.” When Gul clarified that she had only posted someone else’s tweet in order to highlight a difference in opinion, Farah apologised.

However, in an interview to HT City, Farah maintained her stand. “According to me you only retweet when you agree with something and not when you disagree. For me, it was shocking that an actor of her stature was saying something like this. So, yes, I did call her brainless.”

Gul Panag, who deleted the comment later, refused to respond further on the issue.
