The 2012 London Olympic Games has come up with an innovative way to kick start its pre-games activities. The British Film Institute announced that as part the games build-up, restored silent Alfred Hitchcock films with new orchestral scores will be screened.

The 1920s classics are being cleaned up and restored to create perfect digital versions that will premiere during the Cultural Olympiad, a programme of events surrounding the Games.
