Gauhar was performing a particularly difficult step for a live musical show in Gurgaon when her back gave away. It was later diagnosed as a major sprain and required hospitalisation. At the time of going to the press, it was not clear how long Gauhar would be confined to bed.
The actor plays the role of Lachi in Zangoora, billed as the biggest on-going live musical in Asia. “My back has been troubling me for some time, but I didn’t think it would become so serious. I think due to my hectic schedules, my body has finally forced me to get some rest,” Gauhar said on the phone from the hospital.
A fitness freak, the actor makes it a point to not miss her daily workout. In addition, the devout Muslim has also been observing her fast quite religiously, breaking it just an hour before her stage performance, which begins at 8 in the evening. She also refuses to reveal anything about the film offers that compel her to fly to Mumbai so frequently. Just get well soon, Gauhar.
