HC stays all India release of Ghajini

The Madras High Court has stayed the release of Aamir Khan’s much-hyped film - Ghajini. KBC Pictures who claim to possess the right for remaking the Tamil version of the movie objected to the film’s release, and applied for stay orders.

It now seems that Bollywood’s most awaited film for this year has now been put on hold.

Aamir Khan, the producer of the Hindi remake, is in a fix about the release date, which was scheduled to release this Thursday. The objection by Salem A Chandrasekaran, producer of the Tamil film, came as a surprise as the adaptation had been amicably agreed upon by both the Hindi and Tamil filmmakers in the past. AR Murugadoss, the director of the Tamil Ghajini, is also the director of the Hindi remake.

Further information about the release date is yet to be announced.
