Actor Helen Mirren hopes Katy Perry and Russell Brand will get back together in the future and admits it is hard to keep high-profile marriages going.

The 66-year-old Oscar-winning actress, who has been a friend of the couple since she starred alongside Brand in Arthur last year, thinks the pair could reignite their romance later on in life, reported Contactmusic.

"It's very hard to keep things going. Maybe they'll come back together again later on in life! They're both very, very successful," Mirren said.

Brand, 36, filed for divorce from Perry on December 30 after being together for 14 months. The duo had married in a traditional Hindu ceremony in Rajasthan, India.
