‘I also want a lead role’

He has acted in over 200 films till date but veteran actor Om Puri feels that roles are written especially for stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan and not for an actor like him.
“There’re hardly any roles written for someone like me. I have remained a character actor. I should get to play the lead in films,” said the 60-year-old actor.
“If industry starts making realistic films, then actors like me will get more opportunities,” he added.
