Speaking to HT City about her experience of reading out scriptures from the Holy Bible in Mumbai’s biggest pre-Christmas gathering at Chowpatty on Sunday, Bollywood’s most famous item girl said, "It was my great good luck when I read from the scriptures."

“I love Bible, I love Jejus (sic) and I have dedicated my life to him.” When asked how the audience reacted, Rakhi said, “Why is it assumed that if I dance around wearing skimpy costumes, I cannot properly worship my Jesus?I am a born again Christian.”

Rakhi plans to celebrate Christmas at a Christian school in Mumbai’s Versova West to which, she says, she donates one-tenth of her earnings. “Some of us will gather there for our prayers led by a pastor,” she said.

But is there anything that Jesus doesn’t approve of? “I don’t do things which are wrong according to Jesus,” she replies. “Like don’t make ‘bad’ relations with anyone except your husband. Don’t kill people. Don’t lie. I just enjoy.”
