Julia bids racy adieu to India

Julia Roberts has left the country for Bali to complete the final leg of Eat, Pray, Love. As she wrapped up the shooting of the film in India, actress' final outing in Manesar was amidst speeding cars and bikes.

“Around 40-50 cars and bikes were racing in the service lane and Julia was sitting in one of the cars for a scene,” said a source, adding, “It was a market scene which took almost 12 hours to complete. The shooting started at 8 in the night and went on till 8 in the morning on Wednesday and Thursday. Julia was there only on the first day,” the source said. Another source from the sets said, “A blonde girl named Tabby had been specially flown in, as a body double for scenes which Julia did not have time for. However, the girl rarely got a chance to shoot as Julia ensured that she finish everything before she leaves India.”

The 41-year-old actress, who landed in New Delhi on September 17 to shoot for Eat, Pray, Love left the country on Friday evening. She is now headed for Bali in Indonesia where she will shoot the final leg of the film. Prior to shooting here, the crew shot mostly in Pataudi at the Ashram Hari Mandir and in the nearby Mirzapur village. “Local shops were opened till night and chaat stalls were also put up to make it look like a typical Indian market,” the source added.
