Actor Kajol, who has been married to actor Ajay Devgn for 13 years, says her marriage hasn’t been all roses and romance. “There are times when marriage is not such a comfortable place… But you find your way, you become a different person. You grow into it. And you have to work at marriage every day,” she says.

The actor, however, adds that it is Ajay who brings the best in her. “I’m a mean bi***. I’m really nasty, critical and cutting. Ajay is a much better person than me. It’s not easy being the sensible one all the time, but he’s such a gentleman. He manages to calm me when I’m frustrated or angry. He always knows what to say or do. I really look up to him,” says Kajol, who will be seen on the cover of Vogue India’s August issue, and lets loose on the years that have flown by, in an interview to the magazine.

Kajol was last seen in the film, My Name is Khan (2010), alongside actor Shah Rukh Khan. And, be it her career or personal life, the actor is content with her present state of mind. “I’m a better person today than I have ever been. The years that have passed have added to my personality. I am who I am because of everything that has happened to me,” she says, adding, “By the time you’re 30, you know who you are inside. You learn to laugh at things you can’t change, you learn to be yourself.”

At the age of 37, Kajol, a mother of two children — Nysa (9) and Yug (1) — is in her best shape, and seems to be loving it. “I love my body. And, I’m always working out. I’m an exercise freak, be it cardio, weights, t’ai chi or yoga. Gymming is one of the things Ajay and I love doing together,” she says.
