Hollywood actress Kate Hudson and her boyfriend, singer Matt Bellamy, who are expecting their first child together, have reportedly got engaged secretly.

"It was an intimate party. They kept their engagement secret as they wanted to celebrate with their nearest and dearest before it became public knowledge," femalefirst.co.uk quoted a source as saying.

The couple who have been dating for around nine months, could move back to Britain on a permanent basis after Bellamy, 32, revealed plans.

"We're all thinking of moving back to London, so it'll be the first time we're all going to be in the same place since we were much younger," said Bellamy.

"It'll make rehearsing a lot easier. Maybe in summer, we'll start getting into rehearsing and writing."

Kate already has a seven-year-old son, Ryder, with ex-husband Chris Robinson.
