The Bound 2 hitmaker has blasted Vanity Fair magazine for featuring supermodel Kate Upton, 21, styled to look like Monroe on the cover of its recent 100th anniversary issue and hailed Kim, 33, for being similar to the late legendary actor because she divides public opinion and is controversial. “I have a love-hate relationship with the paparazzi but actually I love them because they empower us over Vanity Fair and Graydon Carter that want to say Kate Upton is Marilyn Monroe. Kate Upton ain’t Marilyn Monroe. Kim is Marilyn Monroe, you know that. She was controversial. She is controversial,” West told Chicago’s Power 105.1 radio station.
Meanwhile, the rapper believes he is similar to the late animator Walt Disney. “I’m more like, a Walt Disney. Like, rap is just a chamber of my thoughts. It’s something that I really wanted to express as a modern-day poet, because you know, if I had lived in a past lifetime, maybe I would have been a playwright or something,” he said.
