Mother Monster, Lady Gaga is hot on social media. After conquering Facebook, Gaga is all set to be crowned the most followed person on Twitter. As of now, Britney Spears is the most followed person but Gaga is on the prowl, metro.co.uk reported.



Buzz is that at any point this week, Gaga will topple the reigning Twitter queen to set her throne.



According to a social media statistics service, Gaga had 5,654,979 followers at 8:55am on Friday while Spears, the current title holder is leading with 5,659,706 fans.

Incidentally, on an average Gaga attracts about 20,000 new followers per day as compared to Spears who attracts around 6,000. Going by this rate, Gaga will dethrone Spears by the end of this week.



Last month she became the first living person with more than 10 million Facebook fans.

Interestingly, surveyors also expect singer Justin Bieber to topple Lady Gaga by the end of the year.
