Lindsay Lohan has chosen former junkie Courtney Love as her sobriety coach to help in her battle with alcohol and drugs.
The front woman for Hole has revealed in the latest issue of Details magazine that she has stepped forward to act as the troubled star’s mentor.
“I’ve taken up Lohan because nobody else will,” The Daily Mail quoted the 47-year-old singer as telling the publication.
“She’s further down the line than I was, because there was no TMZ then."
This is not the first time Courtney had positioned herself as a guiding light for troubled young female celebrities.
“Lindsay Lohan called me after she was arrested. The judge presiding over her case was the same judge who presided over mine. He was a very sweet man. I think he was an ex-alcoholic himself. I told Lindsay to just get it together and trust the judge, and Lindsay’s father called me for advice every day," she said.
Love also gave the magazine an example of some of her coaching techniques she is using with Lohan.
“I went up to Lindsay’s room one time and there was a show on called ‘101 Celebrity Oops’ and I am like every other one, you know -- boobs out, legs everywhere, throwing sh*t at Madonna, you know whatever, ‘ she said, ‘I’m like ‘LIndsay, look! Drugs are bad!’” she added.
