“We discuss all sorts of things about each other. We talk so much, there is no time for television! And all three of us love laughing,” says Esha in an interview to wellness magazine asiaSpa. “We talk, shop and dance a lot,” adds her little sis. Mommy Hema says the one time they get to do that at leisure is at papa Dharam’s place: “We go out for dinners, go to Dharamji’s farmhouse in Lonavla and eat a lot of Punjabi food.”
followed by walking and slow jogging. After that, I work on my abs, shoulders and back.” And Ahana? “In the morning, it’s yoga. In the evening, kick-boxing. Apart from Odissi, I recently tried out this contemporary dance form, Ciao.”
“As Esha and Ahana are growing up, togetherness has become friendship. Today, we have to give our children a lot of space, while reminding them of their responsibilities”
“I wake up early and make chai for mom every morning. It is the time she has no phone calls to attend to ... Also, I love to holiday together, just the three of us.”
“When in town, we make sure to have one meal together at night. While we are shooting, it’s impossible. It takes a lot of understanding, compromise and effort to be together.”
