A newly discovered film clip which purportedly shows Hollywood legend Marilyn Monroe smoking pot, is to be put up for sale on

by a collector who says he paid $275,000 for the footage.

Keya Morgan, a New York-based collector, who had been making a documentary about Monroe’s death, said the footage was taken by a friend of Monroe’s in the late 50s. The friend, who is only identified as Gretchen, retains the copyright.

Monroe died apparently of an overdose of barbiturates at the age of 36.
