It’s been a year-and-a-half since Taare Zameen Par released. In between, child star Darsheel Safary worked on a Disney film, too. And now he’s ready for another big project, Priyadarshan’s Bum Bum Bole. "The film is about sibling bonding and how far a brother can go to make his sister happy," says the actor.

Darsheel says shooting for the kids flick was real fun. “My portions were shot during his month-long vacation. The set was always buzzing because of us kids. We would play all day. We’d shoot whenever we were not playing.” Darsheel says during the shoot he picked up some mimicry from his Atul Kulkarni, his co-actor in the film. “He’s excellent at it. Other than that, I learnt how to deliver my lines with expression and without fumbling.” His other co-star in the film, five-year-old Ziah Vastani, he says is “cute and talkative”. “She was on PSP (Portable Play Station) all day. Havov aunty (Ziah’s mother) is really nice.”

For this class VII student, the focus is still “my studies”. “I never miss school. But I’m looking forward to the holidays. School will shut for summer vacation on April 29.”
