Hollywood star Gerard Butler, who visited India last year, enjoyed travelling to the small cities like Jaipur where he went unrecognised.

During his trip to Mumbai, the 300 star bonded with Slumdog Millionaire chidren and also spent time with Bollywood friend Priyanka Chopra during his India trip in April last year. Chopra is said to have thrown a farewell party for the actor.

"Last year, I took a long trip through India and when you are going through places like Jaipur, nobody cares who you are. I was in the country for about five weeks but in the three weeks I was away from the big cities, I don't think I was recognised once and that definitely makes life a lot easier," Butler said in a statement.

The 40-year-old is also planning to take some flying lessons. "The problem was for me that I would often finish work and feel the need to leave town – like you know 'I have to go now, I have to go to Iceland or go to India, go somewhere...,' said Butler.

The Scottish hunk will next be seen opposite Jennifer Aniston in The Bounty Hunter, which is releasing in India on April 23.
