Yash reveals he took care of pregnant Kiara Advani like a bodyguard on Toxic set: ‘I was more worried’
Yash praised Kiara Advani for her commitment and professionalism while filming Toxic, despite being pregnant.
Bollywood actor Kiara Advani is all set to feature in Geetu Mohandas' Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups, marking her first film after pregnancy. During the film's audio launch in Mumbai on Thursday, lead actor Yash praised Kiara's dedication to the project and revealed how he and Geetu turned into "bouncers and bodyguards" to ensure she was taken care of on set.

Praising Kiara's commitment to the film, Yash said, "How do I say, I think she is such a professional actor. She came into this film; I was a little worried because it's too demanding. The first time we spoke, she said, 'Have you ever done a rain sequence and all?', I said, 'Never, but it's going to be good and easy'. Then I saw her."
He added, “But the way she dedicated herself, and I must say, even after she was pregnant, she came with 100% commitment. I was more worried; Geetu was more worried. We were like bouncers/ bodyguards on set; we used to take care of her, but she has really dedicated herself. Thank you, Kiara; this one is special.”
Kiara received immense backlash on social media after her and Yash's song, Tabahi, from the film was released. The actor faced unwarranted hate over the intimate scenes in the song. However, after the trailer was released, fans praised her performance. At the film's trailer launch event last week in Bengaluru, Yash defended Kiara against the backlash and said, “And what you have to go through as an actor, unfortunately, don't care (about it). Whatever you believe in, you should do, and people will celebrate, people will appreciate. It's just that we are a little ahead of the times.”
About Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups
Helmed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic is a gangster drama that stars Yash in a dual role alongside Kiara, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth, Tara Sutaria and Nayanthara in key roles. The film marks Yash's comeback to the big screen after his 2022 hit KGF Chapter 2. At the film's core is a troubled relationship between a father and son, with the trailer hinting at a violent showdown while keeping much of the plot under wraps.
Shot simultaneously in English and Kannada, Toxic will also be released in dubbed versions in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam, taking its world of action, thrill and larger-than-life storytelling to audiences across languages. Backed by Yash's Monster Mind Creations and Venkat K. Narayana's KVN Productions, the film is scheduled to release in theatres on August 26.
