Rajni has some inside dope on Sonam Kapoor’s first meeting with director Punit Malhotra. Sonam, in fact, can’t forget their

pehli mulaqat

and talks about it to whoever she meets.

Seems Sonam had to convince herself to say yes to Malhotra’s directorial debut. In her own words, “I thought he’s such a good looking guy, he should be acting. Why is he directing?” But, when Sonam saw that he had written the script and the dialogue, she realised how good he was. The rest, dearies, is what we call a ‘luv story’.
