Hectic work schedule has taken its toll on these Bollywood divas, who are recovering from either injuries or ill health.
Shilpa Shetty is suffering from a neck injury
Shilpa Shetty is at home recovering a severe neck sprain. The 35-year-old actor is missing from the Indian Premier League action as apparently her doctor has asked her to sport a cervical collar for a speedy recovery. “Neck still not good, hate missing the matches,” tweeted Shetty, who feels that her team Rajasthan Royals’ win is the perfect antidote for her paining neck. Though hubby Raj Kundra is attending the matches he wants Shetty to get well and join him soon.
Lara Dutta is suffering from a back injury
Lara Dutta’s debut production venture Chalo Dilli’s hectic promotional schedule has taken a toll over her. “I sprained my back and have not got time to rest and recover as this is the most crucial time for our film so I have to be on my toes,” says the 33-year-old actor, who was recently in Delhi to promote her film. Finally she spared some time to visit a physiotherapist. “Off to the physio! Nursing a strained back but duty calls with the release of Chalo Dilli around the corner! Excitement overriding pain,” she tweeted on Tuesday.
Kareena Kapoor is recovering from a sprained neck
Doing stunts without any body double could prove dangerous and Kareena Kapoor learnt it the hard way. The 30-year-old actor sprained her neck while performing an action sequence in Delhi recently. While coming out of the helicopter, she fell from the harness at some distance from the ground and injured her neck. Kapoor, who has been popping painkillers for a couple of weeks now, has still not recovered completely. “I did suffer an injury while shooting,” said the actor.
Priyanka Chopra suffered minor burns while shooting
While shooting for a Ganpati puja sequence in Karan Johar’s Agneepath, a diya toppled from a big aarti thali that actor Hrithik Roshan was holding. While Hrithik’s hand suffered a burn, Chopra’s outfit caught fire. “PC’s lehenga was burnt at the edges. Fortunately she quickly took notice of this accident and a serious situation was avoided,” says a source. Reportedly, the reason why Chopra, 28, recently visited Ajmer Sharif and Pushkarji, was to thank God for helping her survive the accident.
Sonam Kapoor suffered exhaustion
Sonam Kapoor’s severe exertion landed her on the hospital bed. She complained of breathlessness and stomach ache when she was admitted to Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai, early this month. Father Anil Kapoor had said that Sonam’s hectic work schedule has taken a toll over her health. “I have been shooting non stop so that’s why got exhausted bit too much. But now everything is sorted and I am giving equal importance to my health and work,” says the 25-year-old who is now back at work but is being extremely precautious.
