Shahid Aamir designs for Tharoor wedding

Designer Shahid Aamir has designed the outfits for the pheras, as well as the reception in Delhi and a party to be hosted by Sunanda in Dubai in September.

Former External Affairs Minister, Shashi Tharoor, will tie the knot with Sunanda Pushkar in Kerala tomorrow. Designer Shahid Aamir has designed the outfits for the pheras, as well as the reception in Delhi and a party to be hosted by Sunanda in Dubai in September.

Says Aamir, “I’ve known Sunanda for a long time. Recently, Shashi had come to Mumbai for a seminar and I was introduced to him. He liked my ideas and asked me to design his clothes.”

Tharoor’s outfits include a bandhgala in black with cherry-coloured satin detailing and a black ensemble, among others. For the bride, Aamir has designed a red and green tulle wedding sari , an off-white and gold khada dupatta for the reception and a black-and- gold sari for the party in Dubai.
