During the hearing of the Jessica Lall case Shayan Munshi had practically gone underground. Recently, speaking to the media, he broke his silence on having turned hostile in this case.

The actor said that since he had no films on hand he was in Europe doing ramp shows for fashion designers there. "I got an offer to model in Europe and it was an opportunity I did not want to miss."

When asked why he had turned hostile in the Lall case he diplomatically said, "Nobody has any right to speculate. Justice will be done."
