Actor David Arquette has split from Entertainment Tonight reporter Christina McLarty after nearly five months of dating

Arquette, 40, posted on his Twitter account that the distance issue hindered their relationship, so he has decided to call it quits.

“Sadly I’m single again,” the New York Daily News quoted the actor as tweeting. “A long distance relationship proved to be too difficult,” he tweeted.

Despite their busy schedules, the two made their relationship a priority after they first met at a party last summer. At the time, Arquette appeared on The Howard Stern Show and couldn’t stop gushing about McLarty. “We try to see each other as much as possible,” he had told Stern back then.
