When young Mahesh Babu posed with father Krishna and stole the limelight

Telugu actor Mahesh Babu, who is the son of veteran actor Krishna, turned 47 on Tuesday.

Actor Mahesh Babu, who was last seen in the Telugu film Sarkaru Vaari Paata, shares a very special bond with his father Krishna, a yesteryear Telugu superstar. Last year, Mahesh took to Instagram to share a throwback picture as a kid from the sets of his father’s film. The post won over Mahesh’s fans who couldn’t contain their excitement and flooded the comments section with heart emojis.

The picture was shared on the occasion of Teacher’s Day and Mahesh thanked his father for teaching him everything. “Here's to the love of learning and growing each day! Thanking my father who taught me to love, to be strong, to have discipline, compassion and humility. Will always be indebted to him and to everyone who's helped me learn and evolve in my journey (sic),” Mahesh posted.

Mahesh, who recently returned from a family holiday, will soon commence work on his next project, tentatively titled SSMB 28, with filmmaker Trivikram Srinivas.

SSMB 28 will mark Mahesh Babu’s reunion with filmmaker Trivikram for the third time after movies such as Athadu and Khaleja. Pooja Hegde has been signed as the co-star. The film is expected to go on the floors later this month. SS Thaman has been signed to compose the music.

Mahesh was last seen playing a loan agent in Sarkaru Vaari Paata, which grossed over ₹200 crore at the box office worldwide. The film marked the maiden collaboration between Mahesh Babu and director Parasuram. Keerthy Suresh was paired with Mahesh for the first time.

Sarkaru Vaari Paata, which has been co-produced by Mahesh Babu, was heavily panned by a section of the audience for its controversial love track between Mahesh and Keerthy Suresh. Mahesh also has a yet-untitled project with SS Rajamouli in the offing. This film will only go on the floors next year.
