Television biggies were in the Capital to applaud students of Taare Zameen Par — a vocational training centre for disabled youngsters in the Capital. The Achievers’ Award and Certificate Ceremony, held at FICCI auditorium, saw artists with disabilities put up a spectacular performance for the guests with acts such as yoga, music and dance, apart from an exhibition of products crafted by children with disabilities.

also gave a rib-tickling performance. Actor and MP Raj Babbar was the guest of honour at the event, while Krishna Tirath, union minister for women and child development, was the chief guest for the evening.
“I applaud the Sun Foundation for its efforts to bring out the talent in these children through this platform,” said Babbar. Vikramjit Singh Sahney, president of the foundation, said, “These children are really talented. Disability is not inability.”
