Gurgaon: Industrialists suffer due to poor condition of roads in Sector 34
The Hero Honda Chowk commuters moving towards Sector 10 have been complaining to the authorities for the last many months but nothing has been done so far, they alleged.
The daily commuters and industrialists moving towards Sector 34 from Hero Honda Chowk are facing a tough time crossing the stretch due to the potholed road where construction has been going on since last many months.

The industrialists in the area and regular commuters allege that the main road and the internal roads connecting to their factories are a major cause of worry for them as their vehicles frequently get damaged. They said the heavy trucks get stuck on those roads and they face issues pertaining to the arrival of raw material and delivery of goods.
Several accidents have been reported from the stretch, including two on Friday, when the motorists passing the road fell into an open manhole.
The Hero Honda Chowk commuters moving towards Sector 10 have been complaining to the authorities for the last many months but nothing has been done so far, they alleged.
“Due to the bad condition of roads, we often reach late to our offices as the road is full of potholes. The stretch has several renowned multinational companies and export houses and buyers from different countries visit these companies frequently and face bumpy rides”, said Manish Kumar, industrialist, Sector 34.
This road comes under Haryana urban development authority (Huda) and it is the only road leading to the export houses. The tempo union operating in the area also alleged that they are suffering loss of business.
The industrialists and the workers in the area alleged that due to poor roads, even private cabs refuse to visit the area.
“Our vehicles get damaged due to the low ground clearance on the stretch, the cars demand repair work very frequently and the staff often complaints of being injured after falling on the road due to the imbalance. The condition of the road is leading to high risk of four wheelers toppling on the stretch,” said Amar Bahadur, manager in a private company.
“This road is under the purview of the Municipal Corporation of Gurugram and an estimate is being prepared by the corporation to get it repaired. Incase there are some issues or any delay , Huda will take up the work if it is asked to do so. I will personally take up the matter with concerned officials,” said Yashpal Yadav, Huda administrator.
