Huda top official fined for overstaying in govt house

Chief engineer of the Haryana Urban Development Authority (Huda) Pankaj Kumra will have to pay a hefty penalty for overstaying at his official residence in Gurgaon.

Chief engineer of the Haryana Urban Development Authority (Huda) Pankaj Kumra will have to pay a hefty penalty for overstaying at his official residence in Gurgaon.


Kumra, who was transferred to Chandigarh two years ago, is still to vacate his house in Sector 40. This was stated by Huda administrator (headquarters) Surjeet Singh, in a recent order, adding that Kumra will have to pay 50 times the market rent of the house.

The official is due to retire by March-end. Kumra was the superintending engineer before he was transferred to Chandigarh on promotion as chief engineer.
