The association had initially planned to stage the protest on November 9. It changed its decision after the district administration invoked Section 144 in the area.

The district administration had banned any major assembly of protesters from November 9 to 14. The protest is being planned as a mass rally of industrialists and area residents.

"Around 10,000 protesters comprising industrialists, their employees and residents will take to streets over the payment of enhanced land compensation to farmers displaced of their land at the IMT, Manesar", MIWA said in a statement.

The Supreme Court had raised the compensation from Rs. 4 lakh per acre to Rs. 20 lakh. The issue has become a major bone of contention between industrialists and the government.
