The Union home ministry has developed a 'Centralised Software' for online renewal of arms licences.
The state home secretary Samir Mathur in a meeting that was presided over by chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda in Chandigarh asked the administrative officials to prepare the data.Stressing on better inter-departmental communication, Mathur also urged them to develop a system of effective mutual communication.
Better policing
As part of better policing, the administration should be more concerned about the local issues. Citing the Panchayat elections, Mathur said the police department should be able to help in maintaining law and order.
The state chief secretary PK Chaudhery said the incidents of crime should be analysed carefully.
Chaudhery added although good work has been done by the government, but peoples have more expectations. Therefore, the officers should continue to work with dedication and an added zeal, he observed.
