The court will pronounce its order on the plea on Wednesday.
The anticipatory bail plea was filed by Kataria’s lawyers Shashi Bala and SS Rao on November 7.
Kataria has been booked for allegedly raping a 36-year-old woman on the pretext of marriage. He has been absconding ever since he was booked in the case.
In her complaint, the woman claimed that Kataria sexually harassed her for about six months on the promise of marriage.
The woman has alleged that Kataria even promised to arrange a job for her in the Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon, according to the police.
“We presented all arguments in front of the judge and now it is up to the judge to pronounce a decision. The woman is not a minor and she knew what she was doing,” said Shashi Bala.
“We are now waiting for the court to pronounce its order on Wednesday and are hoping for the best,” she said.
