While many teenagers are proud of their ability to consume copious amount of alcohol without getting drunk or gaining weight, most of them rely on starving themselves or simply bulimia,

reported.
Terming it as a form of addiction, experts feel that youngsters are seriously compromising on their health by doing so because it leads to severe psychiatric problems aside from physical damages.
"Whether it's alcoholism, drug abuse, or some type of eating disorder, an addiction is still an addiction and has to be helped," said a psychology grad student who volunteers at a student recovery center.
Incidentally, anorexia has the highest death rate of any psychiatric illness.
