Here’s how making By the Sea almost ended Brad and Angelina

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie faced tough challenges during the filming of By the Sea, Jolie’s third film as director. The movie is about a couple’s rocky relationship and proved to be quite testing for the real life couple.

Angelina Jolie, who directed and starred opposite her husband Brad Pitt in By the Sea, a film about a couple teetering on the edge, revealed that making the movie was testing the strength of their relationship. She shot the film only a few weeks after tying the know with Pitt in 2014.

So how much of By the Sea is autobiographical?

“It was our way of testing ourselves. We knew that if we could get through this, we would come out even stronger and happier. And we did.

“We’ve always liked putting ourselves through challenges, even though it was maybe a little more dangerous for us as a couple. I don’t think we want to go through it again though,” femalefirst.co.uk quoted Jolie as saying.

Jolie, who raises kids Maddox, 14, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, nine, and seven-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne with her husband, found the first week of filming particularly difficult, until she and Pitt had a frank conversation.
