Warner Bros and Village Roadshow have released the first full trailer of Dark Shadows, directed by Tim Burton and starring Johnny Depp, Michelle Pfeiffer, Eva Green, Helena Bonham Carter, Christopher Lee and rocker Alice Cooper. It also stars Chloe Grace Moretz and Jonny Lee Miller.
While the original 1960s series Dark Shadows was a more sinister and dark story of run-ins with vampires, monsters and werewolves, Tim Burton's remake of the Barnabas Collins re-emergence story takes a comic detour.
While Johnny Depp plays the resurrected Barnabas Collins, Michelle Pfeiffer plays the mansion matriarch Elizabeth Collins Stoddard.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film has long been a passion project for Depp, and it marks his eighth project with Burton, following Edward Scissorhands, Ed Wood, Sleepy Hollow, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Corpse Bride, Sweeney Todd and Alice in Wonderland.
The film hits theaters on May 11.
