Joker, Harley Quinn, Boomerang to get Suicide Squad spinoffs. PR trick?

After Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn, two more characters from the Suicide Squad - Jared Leto’s The Joker and Jai Courtney’s Captain Boomerang are in line to get their own spin-off films.

Harley Quinn was the first member to get a spin-off movie which will focus on several of DC’s female heroes and villains.

The Joker played by Jared Leto and Captain Boomerang played by Jai Courtney will supposedly get their own spin-offs, reported Aceshowbiz.

Warner Bros and DC are convinced of Suicide Squad’s success, and so are considering the future of all the characters, following the disappointing reception to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Suicide Squad, follows DC Comics’ “antihero” team of the same name. It is set to release on August 5. Recent reports suggested that Suicide Squad is undergoing ‘major reshoots’ to correct its tone. And with the massive creative shakeup going on behind the scenes at Warner Bros. this could also simply be a PR gimmick to restore some of that lost goodwill.
