The Twilight actor will step behind the camera for Refinery29, a fashion and lifestyle media company, for their ShatterBox Anthology, to direct Water, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

The film will comprise of 12 short films, which will be created by female filmmakers, writers and animators and the first offering, actor and filmmaker Chloe Sevigny’s Kitty, will premiere at Cannes Film Festival later this month.

Empire actor Gabourey Sidibe will direct her own short film titled A Tale of Four Women as a part of the project.
“In my acting career everything I do, my image and who I am and what I feel represents me is in the hands of a man, usually a white man... I realised very recently that I want to be the one that decides what image I show the public,” Stewart said.
