The new full-length trailer for Tim Burton's Frankenweenie in 3D was released online June 26, featuring the methods of Dr. Frankenstein to bring a boy's beloved dog Sparky back to life.

The new full-length trailer for Tim Burton's Frankenweenie in 3D was released online June 26, featuring the methods of Dr. Frankenstein to bring a boy's beloved dog Sparky back to life.

This stop-motion animated film, by the director of Dark Shadows and Alice In Wonderland, began as a short film by the director in 1984, a heartwarming tale of a science experiment that takes a monstrous twist.

Reminiscent of the director's film The Nightmare Before Christmas, the black-and-white footage reveals what happens when word spreads about the stitched-up canine creation.

The film features the voices of Winona Ryder (The Black Swan), Martin Short (Madagascar 3), Christopher Lee (Hugo) and Martin Landau (Entourage).

Frankenweenie in 3D will be released October 4-5 in Russia, Hungary and North America, on October 17-18 in the UK and other European markets, in Australia, Asian and Latin American territories and France on October 31, Halloween, then Brazil in November and Japan in December.
