The DC supervillain team-up film Suicide Squad led IMDb’s list of top movies of 2016, based on the number of visitors on their pages on the biggest film-related site in the world.

The top 5 included only superhero films with Captain America: Civil War, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Deadpool and X-Men: Apocalypse rounding it off.

Captain America was the biggest financial success of the films included in the list with $1.15 billion (Rs 7800 crore) at the worldwide box office and The Magnificent Seven remake starring Denzel Washington and Chris Pratt was the least successful with earnings of $161 million.

Suicide Squad, despite negative reviews, was a financial success, grossing close to $750 million worldwide.
